Day 5 (cont) - Fredericksborg Castle

Our first visit was to Fredericksborg Castle, built by Christian IV at the beginning of the 17th century.







Restoration and reconstruction of the castle after a fire in 1859 was largely funded by J. C. Jacobsen, founder of the Carlsberg brewing company.
