Fernando Caldeiro, born June 12, 1958 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, was an American scientist and a NASA astronaut. Her earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Arizona and a MS in engineering management from the University of Central Florida.
He was selected as an astronaut by NASA in May 1996. Unfortunately, he passed away from a brain tumor in October 2009 before making it into space.
