One of the best adaptions of this story, A Christmas Carol aired December 17, 1984 starring George C. Scott as Ebenezer Scrooge. It was stylish and creepy, giving the story by Charles Dickens a whole new feel. It had an all-star cast with David Warner and Susannah York as Mr. and Mrs. Bob Cratchit.
George C. Scott got a Primetime Emmy nomination for his performance.
