Lovely Momoko Kochi, born March 7, 1932 in Tokyo, Japan, is probably best known for her appearance as Emiko in Godzilla in 1954. She recreated her role as Emiko in the 1995 movie Godzilla vs. Destroyah. It was her last film appearance before her death from intestinal cancer in November 1988.
She had been cast in several monster movies so to keep from being typecast, she underwent serious training and appeared on stage and television. She mastered her craft so completely, she was able to wrap up all of her scenes in Godzilla vs. Destroyah in one day.
