Day 6 - Cemsky Krumlov, Czech Republic: Castle Gardens

Beautiful gardens at the Cemsky Krumlov Castle in the Czech Republic. The castle was built starting in 1240.  It fell into disrepair during the Soviet regime, but since the fall of the Iron Curtain, it has been restored to its former glory.  In 1992, UNESCO added Cemsky Kumlov to its list of World Heritage Sites.

Because it was still too cold to turn on the fountains, none of them were working that day.  But they are still magnificent.

Disturbing creations: A cherub holding the decapitated head of an enemy.

On the left shield, you can just make out a raven pecking the eyes out of another disembodied head.
