The Terminator, the blockbuster directed by James Cameron and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton, Lance Henriksen and Michael Biehn, was released October 26, 1984.
It opened to mainly positive reviews, a rare 100% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and has spawned 5 sequels. It won three Saturn Awards (Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films) in 1985 for Best Science Fiction Film, Best Writing and Best Make-up.
