The sixth episode of the second season of Star Trek, The Doomsday Machine, aired October 20, 1967. The crew of the Enterprise comes across the seriously damaged sister ship the USS Constellation, helmed by Commodore Decker. He is the only survivor of an attack by a planet-killer. He is determined to destroy the planet-killer, even at the cost of the USS Enterprise and her crew.
It has been called one of the best episodes of Star Trek: The Original Series.
