Michael Crichton's best-selling novel The Andromeda Strain was brought to the big screen by director Robert Wise March 12, 1971. It starred Arthur Hill, David Wayne, James Olson and Kate Reid.
It was nominated for 2 Oscars: Best Art Direction-Set Decoration; Best Film Editing.
