Aleksandr Panayotov Aleksandrov, born December 1, 1951 in Omurtag, Bulgaria, is the first Bulgarian to reach a Soviet space station.
He launched in
Soyuz TM-5 June 7, 1988 and spent 10 days aboard the space station
Mir. He returned to Earth June 17 aboard
Soyuz TM-4.
