Day 6 - Danube River from Linz to Krems, Austria

We left Linz and sailed down the Danube River to Krems, Austria, passing some beautiful churches and more medieval buildings.

Day 5 - Danube River from Passau, Germany to Linz, Austria

We left Passau, Germany mid-day and sailed down the beautiful Danube River to Linz, Austria.  Bridges were rather low and sometimes, I felt I could touch them.

We saw several medieval castles and buildings along the way.

Beautiful churches in every village.

Engelhartszell, Austria.
This is a different village from the picture above, but it seems they have the same style church!

More medieval castles!

Quaint Austrian towns.

Day 5 - Passau, Germany

On the fourth day, Viking bused us from Prague to historic Passau, Germany.  We arrived late in the afternoon.

The medieval castle, just across the river, at night.

The next morning we took a walking tour of Prague.

Part of the medieval wall that protected the city.

Day 1 in Prague, Czech Republic

We arrived in Prague April 1, Easter Sunday, exhausted from our overnight flight from Dulles via Frankfurt.  We took it easy and walked around the immediate area of our hotel.

Our hotel: Art Nuveau Palace

St. Wenceslaus Square: The Easter Market was going strong.

The statue of King Wenceslaus (but I don't know which one).
