Happy birthday, Lady Deathstrike Kelly Hu!

Beautiful and badass actress Kelly Hu, born February 13, 1968 in Honolulu, Hawai'i, starred in X2: X-Men United as super-villain Lady Deathstrike.  She's also appeared in the DC Universe as White Tiger in Arrow, the series about the Green Arrow.  

She's performed on a number of my other favorite shows:  Warehouse 13, The Orville, and NCIS: New Orleans. She has provided voices for two of the Scooby-Doo movies! 

In 1985, Hu was the first Asian-American to be crowned Miss Teen USA.  She was crowned Miss Hawai'i in 1993 and finished in the Top 6 at the Miss USA pageant. 

Happy birthday, actress C.C.H. Pounder!

I love actress C.C.H. Pounder, born December 25, 1952 in Guyana.  I liked her in Millennium but really became a fan of hers when she appeared in Warehouse 13.  She starred in an episode of The X-Files, Duane Barry, for which she earned a Primetime Emmy nomination.  

She also received numerous awards and nominations for her work on The Shield. I enjoy watching her in NCIS: New Orleans, and most recently her cameo in Godzilla: King of the Monsters. 

"Warehouse 13" premieres 2009

Warehouse 13, a SyFy Channel original, aired its first episode July 7, 2009.  Super-sexy Eddie McClintock and Joanne Kelly starred as Secret Service agents who are re-assigned to South Dakota to Warehouse 13.  There they find a covert building that houses many supernatural objects or "artifacts" as they are called.  They are sent on many adventures to retrieve more artifacts as they can possess immense powers.  Saul Rubinek and CCH Pounder also starred.
