Happy birthday, Reba!

Reba McEntire, one of the goddesses of country music, celebrates her birthday today.  Born March 28, 1955 in McAlester, Oklahoma, she graduated from Kiowa High School and attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, before starting her music career.

To date she has released over 30 albums, won 7 Academy of Country Music awards for Top Female Vocalist, and 12 American Music Awards for Favorite Country Female Artist of the Year.

"Tremors" released 1990

One of my favorite guilty pleasures, Tremors, was released January 19, 1990.  It blends comedy and horror with just the right mix.  Reba McEntire made her movie debut in Tremors, and for people who like to play Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon, this movie which starred Bibi Besch ties Kevin with the entire Star Trek franchise!  You're welcome!

It has spawned 4 sequels and an animated series.  Well, three sequels and one prequel.
