Glass Houses, the seventh studio album from Billy Joel released in March 1980, reached #1 on the Billboard 200 July 18, 1980 and stayed there for six weeks. It ranked #4 for the year on the Billboard charts.
Billy Joel won a Grammy for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance. The album was nominated for Album of the Year.
He won an American Music Award for Favorite Pop/Rock Album and he received a nomination for Favorite Pop/Rock Artist.
