Borus Morukov, born October 1, 1950 in Moscow, Soviet Union, went into space aboard Atlantis (STS-106) to the International Space Station as mission specialist. Prior to becoming an astronaut, he completed medical training in cardiology, gastroenterology, otolaryngology, stomatology, ophthalmology and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. He logged just over 11 days 19 hours in space.
He passed away January 2015 from undisclosed causes.
